Drawing is exploration.  It is growth and change.  To create as opposed to recreate, to hunt not to find.  Drawing is stepping up, making the mark, looking, breathing, and putting down the next mark.  I feel my way through my drawings.  They are rough and tumble.  They breathe.

Using that intuitive but studied approach to explore nature allows my love of abstraction and invention to play.  Marks dance across the surface building the structures and rhythms of the plants and flowers in a tumbling, delicate crashing of moves.
